RN-PN Remedial Course

 Candidate who failed the NCLEX three consecutive times; or
 Candidate who graduated from nursing school but have not taken the test within 6 six months of graduation; or
 Candidates who do not hold a RN/LPN active license, have not practiced in the past five years, or did not
attend/complete nursing school and want to get prepped for entry/re-entry into a nursing program; or
 Candidates applying for license by endorsement based on having passed the NCLEX previously.

Upon completion, the student should function as providers of care, coordinators of care, and members within the
discipline of nursing as they:
 Integrate the nursing process as a framework for the coordination of care of clients and families. 
 The student will be able to monitor the client and family, collect the data, form a nursing diagnosis, 
 Participate/contribute to the nursing plan of care with goals and outcome criteria. 
 Apply organizational and interpersonal communication strategies in coordinating/managing the care of clients,
families, and other health care workers. This includes effectively reporting and recording patient assessment
information and plan of care and integrating teaching and learning strategies for client and family education. 
 Integrate cultural, spiritual, psychological, and developmental influences when managing client care. 
 Integrate the principals of pharmacology safely and competently when providing client care. This includes
being knowledgeable of actions, side effects, doses, and precautions of commonly prescribed medications as
well as safe administration of oral, parenteral, and intravenous medications. 
 Integrate the principles of safety when providing care to clients and families. 
 Incorporate the principles of nutrition for maintaining optimal healthcare for clients and families. 
 Value legal, ethical, and professional parameters when managing client care.

This is a comprehensive review that covers subjects such as:
 Medical-Surgical Nursing 
 Pharmacology
 Obstetrics (Maternal-Newborn)
 Pediatrics 
 Psychiatric/Mental Health
 Test-taking strategies 
 Practice exam
 NCLEX Simulation exams (if required)
 Etc.

Methodology

 Clinical Hospital Experience with Preceptor 
 Three Computer Adaptive NCLEX Simulation exams (if required) Clinical Forms and Simulation Lab as part of the Clinical Section (if required)

Evaluation
 Must pass the online quizzes/question bank with an average score of 75%
 Must pass the final exam with a minimum score of 75%

Didactic/Clinical Evaluation
The student must achieve a passing score on each of the unit/subject exam/quizzes and successfully complete the
clinical component:
 Each student must successfully pass each module/subject exam/quiz and the final exam with a minimum score
of 75%. If a student does not complete the course within 3-6 months, he/she will be eligible to continue the
course for another 6 months (new fee charged).
 The clinical experience is graded on a pass/fail basis. All didactic materials must be completed prior to
initiating the clinical rotation. If the student is unsuccessful, he/she will not pass the course. The Clinical
evaluation forms are completed by the clinical instructor/preceptor.

The student is expected to attend/complete all didactic sessions and all the 96 hours of clinical scheduled. In case of an emergency, it is the student’s responsibility to call the Program Coordinator to arrange a make-up date with his/her preceptor (new fee charged).

If you have not completed your onsite clinical experience in Florida, you will NOT pass the course.

After you’ve completed your clinical rotation and we receive all your completed paperwork, we will issue you the course certificate of completion and the Florida State Board of Nursing will be notified that you have completed the course within 15 to 30 days. If you are seeking re-reactivation of your license or seeking endorsement from another state, you will need to contact the Nursing Board from that state and send them the course completion certificate.

• Sign and return both the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & ENROLLMENT FORMS.
• A copy of your driver’s license or passport.
• Submit a copy of the letter from the Florida Board of Nursing stating that you’re required to take the remedial course, if required.  
• Pay course fees via convenient payment methods (zelle, cash, cashapp, credit/debit card, or PayPal). 

Note: Once payment is received, the applicant will receive a link (including username and password) to the online lectures/videos and will be sent an email with additional information, including the step to take to complete the assessment exam, if required. The applicant will also have access to thousands of NCLEX style practice questions and NGN.

  Candidates are required to pass each module/subject with a minimum average score of 75% in Fundamentals, Women’s Health and Labor & Delivery, Mental Health, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatrics, Pharmacology, etc.) and pass the final exam with a minimum score of 75%.  

  
  
  • Clinical: Pass/Fail* 

  *An unsatisfactory evaluation or dismissal from the clinical site will result in the student failing the course.

  176 hours (80 hours lecture/theory and 96 hours clinical sessions), and up to 6 months to complete.
